Designer Sandor Boldog Reimagines the Porsche 911 for the Electric Era

Detroit-based automotive designer Sandor Boldog imagines how one of the world’s most recognizable sports cars could evolve for the electric era with his Porsche 911-E concept. Created as an independent design study, the project preserves the unmistakable proportions of the 911 while introducing a more futuristic, aerodynamic form shaped around an all-electric powertrain.

The design combines the 911’s familiar sloping roofline and muscular rear haunches with a wraparound glass canopy, dramatically sculpted bodywork and a full-width rear light bar. There are also subtle references to Porsche’s racing heritage, particularly the legendary 935, visible in the low nose, squared-off front openings and pronounced fenders.

Sandor developed the concept around a rear-mounted electric motor and batteries positioned beneath the floor, with an air-cooled architecture intended to maintain a conceptual connection to classic 911s. For more of his work, check out his portfolio and follow his updates on Instagram.
