Festive Typography & Holiday Craft: Christmas Projects by Russ Gray
Published Dec 19, 2025
Salt Lake City-based designer Russ Gray approaches the holiday season with a clear love for print, typography and small details that reward close attention. This collection of Christmas-themed projects includes cards produced for local clients using specialty papers and foils, alongside a playful commission built around a fictional “North Pole Industries.”
Many of the cards use traditional holiday palettes, combining deep greens, rich reds and neutral tones with specialty papers, metallic foils and tactile finishes. The typography is the star throughout, with custom letterforms, vintage-inspired layouts and carefully balanced ornamentation that gives each piece a timeless, keepsake quality.
