Geometric Figures Cast in Dramatic Light: Illustrations by Kyrellos Maximos

Cairo-based illustrator and designer Kyrellos Maximos uses simple forms, dramatic lighting and a strong sense of visual storytelling to craft ethereal images.

Kyrellos’ compositions are often shaped by bold silhouettes, overlapping geometric forms and carefully controlled palettes. Warm oranges and reds glow against deep blues and purples, while grainy textures soften the digital finish and give many of his illustrations a more tactile quality. Light is another key element, appearing as oversized suns, moons, beams and luminous outlines that amplify the mood.
