Imposiball: Playful Sports Animations by Crtomir Just

3D artist Crtomir Just is back on the grid with Imposiball, a series of short animations that turns familiar sporting environments into surreal visual puzzles. Inspired by optical illusions, the personal project explores what happens when objects and their shadows stop behaving the way we expect.

Basketball, tennis, golf, swimming and table tennis provide the setting for these experiments. Viewed through an isometric camera, courts and pools are reduced to colorful geometric stages where balls seem to move in impossible ways and their shadows don’t always match what we’re seeing.

Crtomir keeps the compositions simple, using bold blocks of color, clean geometry and controlled lighting to make each illusion immediately clear, even when the movement itself defies expectations. As objects, shadows and perspective drift out of agreement, the series turns a collection of everyday sports into a clever study of perception and spatial ambiguity.
