Music as Medication: New Sculptures by David Schwartz
Published Dec 2, 2025
Multidisciplinary artist and designer David Schwartz is debuting his new series Music as Medication at LVMH The Studio Miami during Art Week Miami 2025. The collection reinterprets the emotional charge of beloved albums through resin and crystal works that feel both playful and deeply personal.
The pieces expand his ongoing Rhyme Capsule universe, a body of work that pays tribute to the albums and artists that shaped generations. Boomboxes packed with vintage cassettes sit alongside oversized pill-shaped capsules filled with iconic records. Each one functions as a handcrafted “prescription”, a reminder of how music can lift mood, spark memory, and shift emotional tone. Albums from Prince, De La Soul, Nirvana, Sade and many more appear throughout the collection, transforming personal listening histories into sculptural artifacts. Nostalgic yet fresh, the series captures how certain albums become part of our emotional toolkit.
Music as Medication is on view December 3–7 at Palm Court Event Space in the Miami Design District.
