Mystical Science: Play Studio’s Branding for Cy Biopharma
Published Jul 10, 2025
San Francisco’s Play Studio has crafted a striking new identity for Cy Biopharma, a company developing breakthrough psychedelic-derived therapies for chronic pain. The branding strikes a nice balance between the mystical and the clinical, featuring vibrantly blurred neon gradients across crisp white packaging, paired with a Swiss grid system and the timeless Univers typeface (one of our all-time favorites).
The color palette draws inspiration from nature’s vivid spectrum, elevated through fluid gradients that are meant to feel transformative and soothing, a reference to Cy’s mission of working with nature to heal. Clean compositions and precise typography ground the ethereal visuals, creating a brand language that feels futuristic and organic. You can check out the full project on Play Studio’s website.
