Playful Food-Fueled Characters by Pizza Chen
Published Jul 3, 2026
Taiwanese artist and character designer Pizza Chen transforms familiar foods into a playful cast of tiny heroes, monsters and mascots, each one packed with personality.
Rendered against flat, candy-colored backdrops with punchy comic-book effect lines, each 3D creature looks ready to jump into an animated short. Some are armed with chocolate hammers and breadstick axes, others hide inside layers of dough, sauce or cream, while a few just stand there looking confused or amused.
Based in Taiwan, Pizza Chen is a senior character designer whose work focuses on stylized, story-driven characters for animation and entertainment. Over the years, he has collaborated with studios and brands including Netflix, Nickelodeon, Psyop, Nexus Studios and ANON, bringing that same balance of shape, personality and expressive detail to animated and commercial projects.
