Restoring Wonder to Flight: Motion Design & CGI Work for Joby by INK Studio
Published Jun 3, 2026
London-based INK Studio has turned its CGI craft skyward, producing the polished stills and animation behind Joby Aviation’s new digital experience.
Working alongside brand agency Tiny Wins, who rebuilt Joby’s identity from the ground up, INK used high-fidelity graphics, animation and schematic visuals to showcase Joby’s electric air taxi. The project features a Manhattan reconstructed entirely in CGI, used to stage an impossible shot: a flight from a city street corner that carries the viewer clear across the Hudson. It’s a sequence no camera could capture, one that sells a way of moving that doesn’t exist yet.
As with INK’s previous automotive work, the visuals are sleek and precise. Engineering diagrams, product-style renders and atmospheric city sequences all work together to give Joby’s future-facing mobility a visual language that feels grounded, refined and truly cinematic.
