Te’: Sunscreen Packaging That Reframes the Sun as a Companion
Published Jul 2, 2026
South Korea’s Studio Hou turns sunscreen into a small daily ritual with this charming packaging concept for Te’, a skincare product that presents the sun as something to welcome rather than avoid.
Instead of following the familiar language of tubes, sticks and clinical SPF packaging, the design takes the form of a smooth, pebble-like object with a glossy white shell. When closed, it looks more like a mysterious little planet or tactile design object than a standard cosmetic container, with soft curves shaped to sit comfortably in the hand.
The a-ha moment happens when the cap comes off. A vibrant orange semi-circle emerges from the white casing like a sun cresting the horizon. That clever touch transforms the simple act of applying sunscreen into something more playful and sensory, shifting the story from protection against the sun to a more joyful idea of coexistence.
