Chunky Neon Lettering Experiments by YunKongArt
Published Jan 9, 2026
Chinese lettering artist YunKongArt (Li Zhongzheng) has created a striking series of chunky neon lettering that lands somewhere between playful exploration and futuristic sci-fi. It’s a great example of how he treats lettering as an open playground, always experimenting with color, volume and rhythm to push his pieces beyond classic calligraphy.
The puffed-up shapes in this collection make the letters feel as though they are made from soft glass or glowing rubber tubing. Saturated gradients move fluidly through electric blues, greens, pinks and yellows, all set against inky black backgrounds so the colors hit even harder.
